Let me feel a fraction of what You are feeling

I really thank God for an opportunity to be back in Macau again and it really opened my eyes to see much more things I did not see 2 years back when I was here. The question many people always asked was "So how do you feel now, since you are back again?" My reply was always "Macau is quite different now". Yes, I really mean it is! Cotai strip and Venetian Macau wasn't even here when I came 2 years back. Now look at how many casinos and expensive hotels being built, its really A LOT!
On 20 July when we reached, we visited a missionary called Ms Chen and her center which mainly focus on high school students ministry especially during lunch time (because they have really long breaks and they can come into the center to surf net. Kind of cool huh!). And we took a picture with her and got to know more about the challenges she faces. Then, we visited this organisation (which is runned by Andrew's parents) called "中信" (Macau) or something like that which does counselling and training as their core ministry. I really thank God for such good parents (Andrew's parents) who are so willing to leave their comfort zone to come to this country to serve Him-Heard that Andrew was actually born in Hongkong and not Macau. After that, we had dinner which is like super good and visited 2 Casinos (Grand Lisboa and Wynn), and passed by Hotel Lisboa which is really disturbing because of the prostitution going on in that Hotel. The funny thing is Hotel Lisboa isn't a low grade kind of hotel (not like Hotel 81 in Singapore context) but its like a really nice hotel. You can see basically any kind of girls just sitting there dressing skimpily waiting for 'business'. That was really disturbing, but before that we actually saw brochures of prostitutes and hotlines for people to call to engage one while we were crossing the road (given by aunties which look like they do have children that are around that age, old enough to be prostitutes), you get what I mean?Yeah, and it was really disturbing. But, this is what gambling will lead to, prostitution, extortion of money and even gambling addiction. So it really isn't cool to have casinos in your country. Wait till you see what I see!

21 July:

Visited Chinese Christian Church and 邓传道. This will be my 2nd hosting church because I am supposed to be there on sunday to share my testimony of why I came to Macau and mainly why I want to do Evangelism. I really hope that whatever I share will really bless the church and to address the need why Christians should evangelise. The thing about this church is that they are located very near to the border and there are mainly chinese immigrants from China.
We visited Operation Mobilisation (OM) too and its really a good good experience. I really felt that indeed the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Its really a good time spent there too and I just felt God's calling so strong. And I am seriously praying about it and talking to others to affirm it. (:
Alright thats all for these 2 days first. I will post more later!

Greetings from Hongkong

Hello all! This is an entry from Hongkong! Haha. The team arrived in Hongkong at 2pm and guess what? I was kind of stuck with a team mate at the customs because we declared that we had cough and flu respectively (so we were asked to go down to a corner for a health check-which was like only temperature taking). But shortly after we managed to clear customs.

Oh the cool thing was that we are on a Airbus A380! And we didn't know. Haha cos we expect it to be...much bigger. I suffered about an hour plus of turbulence on the plane, which made me really sick (even till now) and you just feel like puking but its over. Haha.

We settled down in Chinese University of Hongkong (CUHK) and were given a little free time (that's why I am blogging) so really thank God for the safe journey and place that we are staying in. Oh, internet is free here so I guess I will probably come online every night or wherever possible. Hope I will be able to go online too when I am in Macau!

And and and, I am rooming with this Taiwanese girl from Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT). Kind of fun and exciting. Haha. Alrights! Will blog again later in the night. (:
